People sometimes pose as employees or recruiters of well-known companies to obtain money or personal information. Here is how to protect yourself.

• Ask you to pay a fee to apply, attend an interview or receive an offer
• Ask for bank details, card numbers or passwords during hiring
• Make a job offer without interviews
• Ask you to buy equipment or training as a condition of joining
